International Workshop on Electromagnetic Inspection is promoted for the first time in Brazil.

 

The 17th edition of the International Workshop on Electromagnetic Non-Destructive Evaluation will be held from June 17th to 20th 2012 in Rio de Janeiro.

 

The event will bring together engineers, scientists from universities and research institutions who work in application development and testing electromagnetic in several industrial areas.


Among the issues discussed throughout the program are: New developments in electromagnetic testing; Material characteristics; Advanced sensors and new industrial applications; Analytical and numerical modeling of electromagnetic phenomenon; Solutions to non-destructive testing problems; cracks; Non-destructive testing of residual internal stresses, phase transformations and microstructure, such as precipitation, voids, vacancies, etc.; Biomedical applications of electromagnetic NDT.


The Standing Committee Workshop is formed by several countries like Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, UK and United States.


The Organizing Committee is formed by professionals from major corporations and educational institutions in Brazil, such as: UFRJ, PUC-Rio, Brazilian Center for Physics Research, Petrobras, Federal University of Ceará, UFRGS, and USP.
